The Art of Manifesting: It’s More Than Just a Vision Board
Have you created your vision board for 2025 yet? Or, are you like me, still gathering inspiration photos and quotes to bring it all together?
I’ve always loved the process of creating vision boards. There’s something so satisfying about cutting out pictures from magazines, using stickers, and bringing little visions to life on paper. I also enjoy creative journaling (if you know, you know!).
My love for vision boards likely started when my Grammy introduced me to scrapbooking. Creating a vision board is a powerful way to take the dreams you hold in your mind and bring them to life on a board you can look at every day. But here's the key: seeing isn’t believing; believing is seeing. Manifestation goes far beyond simply creating a vision board.
The Proof of Manifestation: How My Vision Boards Became Reality
When I look back at the vision boards I’ve created over the years, I’m often amazed at how much has come to life. It’s not just about the pictures or the quotes I’ve chosen—it’s about the energy, intention, and belief I’ve poured into them. Let me share with you a few personal examples of how these visual reminders of my dreams have manifested into reality, and how aligning my actions with these visions made it all possible.
#1: Drivers License
For years, I had a desire to get my driver’s license, but fear always held me back—fear of driving, cars, accidents, you name it. Living in Massachusetts, I could easily get by without one since public transportation was so accessible. But when I moved to Texas, things were different. It’s nearly impossible to get around without a car. During my first few months here, I created a vision board and added a driver’s license to it, but that dream didn’t become a reality right away. Later, when I created a new vision board, I included an image of a car with a red bow on it. That specific image helped turn that dream into reality, and I’ll explain why shortly.
Proof That Dreams Can Come True
#2: Health I$ Wealth
I wanted to take my body movement to new levels and truly discover what my body was capable of. I was inspired by the female runners I saw on TikTok, and my partner took me running, coaching me on my pace, and breath, and guiding me to push past my limits. Before I knew it, I was running 3 miles non-stop, and then even 6 miles—just once, though! I had added an image of a girl running to my vision board, and suddenly, I was out there running. Although I don’t particularly enjoy running (I prefer HIIT), I push myself to do it because it takes me out of my comfort zone. Plus, running is incredibly good for the soul—it humbles you in ways you wouldn’t expect.
#3: Relationship Commitment
On my vision board, I added 'engagement photos,' which makes me giggle because, growing up, I never imagined myself wanting a wedding. I never had those dreams many women have. While others talk about 'baby fever,' I had 'house fever.' Now, as a woman in my 30s, my mindset, energy, and beliefs have shifted in such a powerful way.
What surprises me the most is that I chose the word 'COMMITMENT' to surround those photos of rings. I picked that word because I realized how much it means to me to be truly dedicated to someone — and for that person to be just as dedicated to me. It’s about willingly choosing each other, and doing life together. Not from a place of pressure or trying to fit into a mold that forces us to be perfect, but knowing we can support each other through the strengths and weaknesses we bring. We’re choosing balance, growth, and a shared journey.
The Deeper Lesson: The Feeling
It’s easy to get caught up in gathering inspiration—whether it's scrolling online, flipping through magazines, or collecting quotes and images that resonate with you. But here's the truth: if you don't connect to the deeper lesson of the feeling behind each photo or quote, your vision board will simply remain a collection of images. Without that emotional connection, your dreams won’t transform into reality. Manifestation isn’t just about what you see; it’s about how deeply you align with the emotions those images stir within you. The feeling behind each vision is the energy that moves you forward, and that’s where the true magic lies.
Align, Manifest, and Create: Your Next Step
As you reflect on the power of vision boards and the deeper lessons they hold, I encourage you to create your own or revisit an old one. Take time to connect with the feelings behind the images and quotes you choose, and watch as your dreams begin to manifest in unexpected ways.

An Update on Life and Growth: Focusing on the Top 5 Pillars
Hey beautiful souls! 🌹
It’s been a long time since I’ve been active on Instagram. I’ve actually been posting more on Snapchat lately—crazy, right? Who uses Snapchat anymore, lol. But I’ve missed engaging with all of you! As I reflect on where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to, I realize how important it is for us to always focus on the top 5 pillars that support our well-being: spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and financial. So here's a quick update on what I’ve been doing with each of these pillars!
Spiritual: Connecting to My Breath
Lately, I’ve been focusing a lot on my spiritual practice, especially through meditation. I truly believe meditation is the soul’s medication. Just like we plug in our electronic devices to recharge, we need to plug our souls in too. It’s easy to forget about the soul’s needs when we’re constantly on the go, but meditation helps me reconnect and recharge. It’s been so grounding to make time for stillness, breathe deeply, and simply be.
Emotional: Mastering My Emotions
This year, I made a deep commitment to focusing on controlling my emotions. Being a triple water sign, I am very sensitive—sensitive as in I might cry over the smallest things, but also as fragile as a bomb ready to explode. I can be the peaceful ocean or cause a tsunami! So, I’ve poured myself into journaling and working through my emotional challenges. I’ve also sought emotional support from safe spaces, learning to navigate my feelings with more understanding and grace.
Mental: Expanding My Mindset
Now, let’s talk about my mental state—WOW, it’s been quite the journey. As someone who tends to be more emotional, sometimes my logic takes a backseat. There have been moments when I wished I could have tapped into my masculine, logical energy to handle things differently, but I’ve learned to give myself the space and grace to keep growing. This year, I also stepped outside my comfort zone and listened to people I wouldn’t have in the past. This has helped expand my mental horizons! On top of that, I stopped smoking weed for 11 months, and wow—my brain feels so much clearer! It was like a cloud lifted, and I felt sharper and more focused. I gave up that habit, cold turkey, and within a month, I could see a noticeable difference in my mental clarity.
Physical: Embracing My Body
I’m still working out regularly because the gym has become a form of therapy for me. However, I haven’t been running as much lately, mainly because the weather here in Texas has gotten chilly (50 degrees and my brother says I’ve gone soft—LOL). I used to be vegan for a decade, but last year, I found myself craving a rosemary garlic steak that I made, and I haven’t looked back! Yes, I’m eating meat now, and I’ve seen some major changes in my body. That being said, I’m very picky about the meat I consume. Huge shoutout to my sister for making sure I’m choosing the best options. She’s taught me so much about mindful eating. Even though I now eat meat, I still tend to opt for plant-based options when dining out. I’m a creature of habit and love visiting the same places and ordering the same things. If I spend money on something I don’t like, I’ll be annoyed for days—LOL!
Financial: Building a Stronger Financial Foundation
Right now, I’m in the process of cleaning up my finances. I’ve been reflecting on this year’s spending and setting financial goals for the year ahead. Financial planning is so important to me because, without clear goals, I tend to overspend. I blame this on childhood conditioning (not having much money growing up), and my inner girl and I are still working on healing that pattern. As I look to 2025, I’m excited to set solid financial goals that will help me build a more secure future.
Exciting Changes Ahead
As you know, there are certain parts of my life that I like to keep private. But I will say that there are some big changes coming up in the year ahead that I’m really excited for! These changes are going to push me to go even deeper within myself. I feel like this is a second chance that most people don’t get, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to “redo” certain aspects of my life, but this time with more wisdom, knowledge, trust, understanding, patience, and prayer.
Well, if you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading! I hope you’re doing well and taking care of yourself as you navigate your own journey. Sending you love and light.
XO,
Alyssa

New Moon in Leo 08|16
Hello Beautiful Souls & Welcome Back!
Lately, I have not been in the space to verbally chitchat on stories so why not utilize my blog and share what is going on in the cosmos?
On August 16th we will have a New Moon in Leo. As many know, a New Moon represents new beginnings and fresh starts. I don’t know about y’all but I could really use some fresh new energy right now. This is a time to gather all your intentions, create a plan, and release it to The Divine (God, Angels, and Universe).
Take a moment to think about where you’re currently at in life. What area(s) could use some fresh new energy? Is it your health & fitness, family & home, relationships (platonic and romantic), career & business, travel & adventure? How can you call in fresh energy or pour newer energy into those areas? What are your intentions and what is the action plan? Once you have created that give it to The Divine. This is the vital part. You must be willing to surrender and trust the process while doing what you can (taking action) as things are being prepared by the Higher Power. Trusting the process is not always easy because we feel as though things are not happening.
You must remember sometimes we cannot always see what is happening behind the scenes, but when the curtains open there is a beautiful performance taking place.
Now let us talk about what it means to be in the sign of Leo. Leo is ruled by The Sun. The Sun symbolizes ego, basic personality, consciousness, vitality, and stamina. Just like everything in life, there is the positive and negative side of Leo.
Before we move forward we have to backtrack a little. We currently have Venus in Retrograde in the sign of Leo. This began on July 23rd and will end on September 3rd, but you always want to give it a 10-day grace period for the energy to stabilize. Venus is the planet of attraction, love, relationships, art, beauty, and harmony. If you can, take a moment to reflect on your own personal life. What areas are feeling challenged and what areas are blooming?
During this time it is known for relationships to end, have challenges, and/or when past ex-lovers resurface. Yes, when relationships end or go into separation it can feel like the end of the world. It can feel confusing and hurtful. With this all happening in the sign of Leo be mindful not to show up in those negative ways: egotistical, dominating, stubborn, controlling, show-off, and vain. This can cause much more pain in the connections/relationships. Try your best to show up with positive energy: brave, playful, leader, fun warm, protective, generous, and charismatic. If the other person or persons are not aligning with you or you cannot see eye to eye; that is OKAY. It simply means that y’all need space to breathe or that y’all no longer align.
Endings can be scary because you cannot see the future or how things will turn out. I know firsthand how tough this can be, but every time I reach the light I am gifted something so beautiful. And I think to myself, damn why was I even trippin’? But it is all part of the process.
If you find yourself or found yourself stepping back into old patterns of behaviors or thought processes please hold space for yourself. It is okay to f*ck up and react in ways you wish you didn’t. IT MAKES YOU HUMAN. It is all a gift. Sometimes we get so caught up in the moment we cannot self-soothe and the emotions override us. When you begin to calm back down how can you self-soothe? Can you take a cold shower? Splash cold water on your face? Go for a run? Meditate? Call a friend? What do you need to shift back into taking care of yourself before you return to that challenge, problem, or person(s)?
Okay, back to the New Moon in Leo. This is a time to be more expressive. Finding new ways to express your feelings, express your creativity, and socialize with others. All while being more aware of self. We are going to gain this overall fire energy within. We are going to feel more passionate, energetic, optimistic, confident, and independent. This is the time to live from your HEART. Open it up especially if it has been closed. When you set those intentions and create the action plans you are being asked to trust and know everything will be created and moved with LOVE.

Bloom Where You Are Planted
In December 2019 I decided to take the biggest leap of faith in my life. I decided to move to Houston Texas. As I laid down on an air mattress in my Massachusetts bedroom apartment for the last night, I was covered in fear & excitement. I could barely fall asleep. The thoughts of leaving my family, friends, and the only place I ever knew haunted me.
The dark cold early morning approached and it was time to load the final things into the Uhaul Truck. I went into my sister’s bedroom hugged her saying goodbye as tears flooded out my eyes. Before I officially walked out of the apartment I turned around stood in the living room and thanked my apartment for housing me through some dark & light moments in life. Then, we were off. I was the Passenger Princess in the truck as my partner (at the time) drove us safely across the country, state to state. I never felt so physically safe before in my entire life. My excitement grew stronger and stronger as we approached the Texas state lines.
There we were, getting ready to unload the truck into our first apartment together. We did argue about unloading the truck because I physically could not hold up the mattress on my end, LOL. I was tired & completely depleted from lack of food as no vegan options were easily available on the road. However, the Hercules in him grabbed the mattress and beasted it up the stairs along with the majority of the furniture and boxes from the truck. We got settled into the apartment and started to grow our roots together in Houston.
Then something within me shifted and I could no longer live in the same space as him. My inner child and adult self were suffocating and yearning for my own space (I never lived alone). I then took another leap of faith and decided last minute (after long thought) to go for it and get my own apartment. I did! I was scared! I didn’t have my family here and was “officially” on my own. It was truly the BEST DECISION I ever made for myself. For the first time in a long time, I wasn’t thinking about anyone else. I had to put my own mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and financial health first.
After several months of trying to grow through the challenges within that relationship container, the time had expired. Everything in life has a start date and expiration date. That relationship is officially over. I am now in a state of mind of blooming where I am planted. I am currently planted in Houston Texas, living on my own, learning more deeply about myself, learning to love this new version of me, and ready to see how I blossom as I will be turning 30 in June 2023.
I am so blessed and grateful to have come in contact with the man that I did. Because our souls chose each other for that season I learned about femininity, leaning back into a softer life, I learned how to look more deeply into another's eyes, I learned how important it is for a man to be heard, felt, and seen. I learned how to play, sing, and dance again with my inner child. Without that relationship, I wouldn’t have explored other parts of the world and I wouldn’t have explored myself in a mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and sexual way. I learned how to step boldly out of my comfort zone. Most importantly I learned how to bravely venture into the unknown.
If you are finding yourself wanting to take leaps of faith in your life, but find yourself scared to actually go for it. This is your sign to do it. Wherever you end up you are going to learn amazing life lessons, come across experiences you only dreamt about, come into contact with beautiful souls, and create an abundant life for yourself. Don’t hold yourself back because of fear, or not being able to see all the details of the plan. Once you make the first move of leaning into your fear, putting one foot in front of the other your path will slowly be revealed to you.
